- Persatuan Pelajar Sabah dan Sarawak atau lebih dikenal dengan nama singkatannya, BSS, telah di lahirkan pada bulan April 2000 di UNIVERSITY TUN ABDUL RAZAK - UNITAR (kampus Induk) yang bertapak di Kelana Jaya.

BORNEO STUDENT SOCIETY akhirnya menjadi sebuah persatuan yang rasmi di UNITAR pada bulan September 2000. Pada awal penubuhannya, persatuan ini mempunya ahli seramai 50 orang dimana 10 orang daripadanya merupakan ahli tertinggi dalam persatuan.

Objektif Penubuhan Persatuan BSS
1. Membentuk mahasiswa/i yang seimbagn dari segi ilmu, emosi dan fizikal.
2. Membentuk kefahaman mahasisw/i tentang peranan dan tanggungjawab mereka.
3. Memupuk toleransi dan berfikiran rasional terhadap pendapat yang berbeza.
4. Membentuk pemimpin yang boleh berfungsi dalam satu organisasi yang terdiri dari pelbagal lapisan.
5. Meningkatkan kepekaan terhadap perkembangan masyarakat.
6. Meningkatkan amal bakti dan semangat berkongsi dalam menghadapi masalah.

LOGO BACKGROUND
- The computer circuitry in the background shows the symbol of IT, the communication and exchange of idea's.

BLUE CIRCLE
- The symbol of UNITE between these two states with a multiracial community. This is because the circle shows the link between the members of this society who are from different race, culture and religion in one circle that is unbreakable.

COLOR USED
BLUE COLOR : The symbol of unite
RED COLOR : The symbol of strong hearted
WHITE COLOR : The symbol of pureness and sincerity.
