I told daddy I still hv 2K MRP.. and daddy start wondering why so much..?

VALENTINE NGUMBANG
Laman web www.rumahpanjai.com terus unggul di kalangan pelayar internet khususnya kaum Bumiputera yang terdapat di seluruh dunia semenjak ia diwujudkan pada Mei 2003 dahulu.
Ini kerana laman web berkenaan yang lebih dikenali di kalangan pelayar internet khususnya kaum Dayak sebagai R.P.com menjadisebuah pentas komunikasi yang berupaya manghubungkan kesemua komuniti Dayak dari seluruh dunia.

Web RP.com disertai oleh semua golongan kaum Dayak atau kaum Bumiputera yang lain termasuk orang ulu dan Melanau.Mereka ini terdiri daripada pekerja kakitangan kerajaan, syarikat swasta dan pelajar yang sedang menuntut di mana-mana institusi pendidikan tinggi seluruh dunia.

Melalui laman web berkenaan, pelayar internet berpeluang untuk mengadakan pelbagaiforum perbincangan yang berkait rapatdengan bidang pekerjaan, isu semasa, ekonomi dan sosial.
Malah pelayar internet RP.com turut berpeluang untuk mengadakan perjumpaan ataupun majlis perhimpunan (gempuru) bersama dengan para kenalan mereka menerusi laman web terbabit.

Laman web www.rumahpanjai.com pernahmengadakan beberapa buah majlis rasmi bersama dengan para pelayar internet aktif sebelum ini.Misalannya majlis sambutan ulang tahun penubuhan pertama web www.rumahpanjai.com 2003 dan 2004.Salah satu majlis berkenaan pernah diadakan di Hotel Telang Usan, Kuching.

Disamping itu, pelayar laman web RP.com juga mengadakan majlis pertemuan secara kecil-kecilan di lokasi yang mereka telah tetapkan.Sehingga kini pelayar laman web RP.com lebih kerap mengadakan perjumpaan kecil di kawasan Kuala Lumpur, Kuching dan Miri.

Salah satu perjumpaan kecil yang pernah diadakan oleh pelayar laman web RP.com telah pun berlangsung pada 18 Novemberlalu.Perjumpaan kecil ini telah berlangsung di Bukit Bintang, KL dan khusus menemukan para pelayar laman web RP.com yang bekerja mahupun menuntut di sekitar wilayah terbabit.

Melalui perjumpaan kecil berkenaan, seramai 26 ahli laman web RP.com berpeluang mengenali kenalan mereka secara lebih rapat. Perjumpaan ini turut membabitkan dua ahli RP.com yang baru sahaja pulang bekerja dari negara Sudan.

Dengan kata lain laman web RP.com telah membolehkan mereka yang sebelum ini hanya berkenalan di dunia siber bersemuka secaralangsung di antara satu sama lain. Menerusi perjumpaan ini mereka berpeluang untuk berbual lebih rapat dengan kenalan masing-masing.

Antara ahli laman web RP.com yang menyertai perjumpaan kecil berkenaan ialah (berdasarkan nama benar dan gelaran samaran dalam web)Robinson, Evelyn, Oswald (pemilik laman web RP.com), Jimbun, Tuan Lokong, Morris, Ray, Bujang Singgalang, Desmond, Lavendar,endu-endun mit dan ramai lagi.

Perjumpaan kecil ini berlangsung selama beberapa jam dan ahli berpeluang untuk membincangkan pelbagai langkah bagi menaikkan lagi taraf laman web RP.com di masa yang akan datang.

Laman web RP.com buat pertama kalinya bertapak di dunia siber pada May 2003. Jumlah keahlian laman web terbabit pernah mencapailebih daripada 1,000 orang sebelum ianya mengalami gangguan teknikal dan serangan daripada penggondam internet yang tidak bertanggungjawab.

Bagaimanapun menjelang September 2005, salah seorang daripada ahli laman web RP.com telah menumbuhkan laman web baru yang digelardengan menggunakan domain www.rumahdayak.com.

Laman web RP.com kini masihlagi aktif di dalam dunia internet dan kian mendapat sambutan yang amat menggalakkan daripada pelayar internet kaum Dayak dan bukan Dayak.

Baru-baru ini laman web RP.com telah melancarkan Projek Tabung Derma Komuniti untuk membolehkan laman berkenaan kukuh dalam menempuhi arus dunia siber di masa yang akan datang.

Disamping itu projek berkenaan juga bertujuan untuk membantu golongan kurang upayamenerusi bantuan kewangan.

Subject : Minimum Payment Required (MPR) to be eligible to View the Final Examination results For August 2005 Semester

Further to our announcement on 27th October 2005 and 1st December 2005 with regards to the above, we wish to draw your attention that the Final Examination Results For August 2005 Semester is scheduled to be released on 13th January 2006.

Considering the date of release of Examination results, which is fast approaching, we strongly urge all the students who have yet to make the necessary payment, to do so without any further delay. As mentioned in the announcements, please be reminded that students are required to comply with the following MPR to avoid being barred:

a) Fees charged for Semester August 2005 – To pay all the remaining balance AND

b) Fees charged for previous Semesters till June 2005 :

i. If outstanding balance is RM5,000 or lesser - At least 75% of the balance
ii. If outstanding balance is more than RM5,000 - At least RM 4,000

Please refer to your Statement of Accounts in VOISS for your balance outstanding and if need be, please also print it for your parent’s/sponsor’s reference.
