1. Do more than what is expected of you.
Showing initiative will get you far in your career.
2. Ask question.
Not knowing everything gives you the perfect opportunity to learn more.
3. Show your interest.
take the time and effort to get to know more about what your co-workers or senior managers do. Lunch time conversations are perfect platform for this. The knowledge you gain will not only earn you the respect and admiration of your peers, it will help you in your career development.
4. Don't be afraid to say "no".
If you're having workload issues or are extremely busy, a simple "no" can prevent conflict and encourage a better relationship with your peers. Most bosses would be impressed with honesty. your boss will appreciate taht you;re trying your best to priorities his work to complete!
5. Beat your deadlines.
Handling in your work a day or two before your deadline shows that you're efficient and organised worker. Be careful not to sacrifice quality for speed. It is always better to submit work on deadline day instead of after it.
6. Offer ideas.
Workers who do everything their boss asks them, are mere drones. Dynamic employees are the ones who constantly think outside the boxe and offer ideas or suggestions. Only after workable solutions and be ready to justify and support it. Even if your idea is not put into practice immediately, you can bet that if it's beneficial to the company, your boss would have taken note of it.
